A Tale of Two Villages

Two stately homes.  Two villages.  Two Main Streets.  Both listed on the same day!

187 SOUTH MAIN STREET IN FAIRPORT, NEW YORK
63 SOUTH MAIN STREET IN PITTSFORD, NEW YORK

I recently listed 187 South Main Street in Fairport and 63 South Main Street in Pittsford.  Both homes offer the absolute best of village living, both are grand estates and both are very different.  They each have these amazing, distinct personalities.

187 South Main Street in Fairport is known to locals as the Wilbur House.  The 1875 home became a landmark in 2008 and is a prime example of Second Empire French Chateau architecture. Period details include magnificent arched windows, a mansard roof, cornices and two large porches!

Meanwhile in Pittsford, 63 South Main was built in 1992.  The stately cedar-sided Colonial offers a taste of the Hamptons in the Pittsford Village.  The 4000+ square foot home is loaded with modern touches like a large white cook’s kitchen and movie theater, wine cellar and rec room on the lower level.

The Main Street estates are located in the hearts of their communities.  They both offer luxury living and square footage within walking distance to the canal, restaurants and shops—which is hard to come by. Imagine…this summer you could have a backyard barbecue and after dinner you could be steps away (literally) from a summer concert on the canal! It doesn’t get much better than that!
