“Are We There Yet?”

If you’ve ever taken a road trip with a child (or some adults-haha) you’ve likely been asked that question. Many times! The same question translates to our local buyer’s market.

If you’ve been searching for a property in the past couple years, you know what a whirlwind the real estate market has been. It has not been for the faint of heart. But I’m here today to offer some glimmers of hope!

The fall market has historically been a good time for buyers. According to a March 2021 article on Time.com:

Typically, the best time of year to buy a home is in the early fall. Families have already settled into new homes before the school year started. But the number of properties on the market is still relatively high compared to other times of the year, and sellers can be eager to sell.

The good news is that this appears to hold true in our current Rochester market. As someone who is driving the car, my response is: “We are getting there!” In my personal experience I have noticed buyer fatigue setting in from the spring. Inventory is steadily coming back. We aren’t seeing as many delayed negotiations. And the competition is lessening. This combination of factors means great news for buyers who have felt completely frustrated or hesitant in this market!

Don’t give up! Reach out to us and we can help you with your search. The buyer’s market is looking promising and we are skilled at writing/presenting the best offers for our clients! We don’t stop driving until we reach our destination!

Cheers,

Amy
