    Organizing Spaces

How many of us feel overwhelmed by the very thought of getting organized? Clutter, much like that Rochester lake-effect snow, has this funny way of accumulating. Whether you are hoping to list your home or you are just wanting to better utilize and appreciate the space you have, organization is key!

So many of my clients tell me they don’t where to begin! My advice is to focus on one space at a time. And don’t be afraid to call in a friend or a professional for help.

Case in point…I knew I wanted to remodel our basement to make it more functional for our family.  I called in my beautiful, talented friend Amie Freling of Meme Hill Studio.  Amie is an amazing designer who is always ready for a challenge.

    Thanks KNYFive Photography!

Please check out her blog here for some awesome organization tips (BONUS: You can see my basement remodel and some handsome gentlemen too!). Some of her strategies include creating drop zones, maximizing square footage and sneaking in baskets and drawers where you can!

    Happy organizing! 🙂

    Cheers,

    Welcome, Neely!

We have welcomed a new team member and I am thrilled to be able to introduce you to Neely Pusateri.  Neely will be working closely with me as a buyer’s agent!Neelyheadshot

    A little more about Neely…

Where did you grow up?  I grew up right here in Rochester! More specifically, in several different houses in the Brighton area, as my parents enjoyed buying houses and renovating them!!! Luckily, I was able to stay in the same schools!

Where did you go to school?  I went to Brighton High School- Proud Brighton Barons softball pitcher!  I went to SUNY Cortland for undergrad and to Nazareth College to get my masters degree in Elementary and Special Education.

Family?  Husband Aaron and 2 busy children!

Pets?  Not yet, but the kids are begging for a dog. 🙂

Where would we find you on a weekend?  On Canandaigua Lake boating and learning to wake-surf in the summer! Canandaigua is also home to my favorite Mexican restaurant, Rio Tomatlan!  Otherwise, you can find me working or watching my kids play sports!!

Are you a sports fan?  What are your favorite teams?  Being the wife of a high school coach, I have been a long time fan of local high school sports! But I do enjoy watching college and professional football and basketball as well!

Favorite place to eat in Rochester?  I love sharing the variety of dishes with friends at Good Luck! I also enjoy going to Next Door Bar and Grill and getting take-out at the King and I!! I love eating out!!

Favorite gems of Rochester?  Of course Seabreeze… a small and manageable park with the kids! We also love going to Grimes Glen in Naples for hiking and the waterfalls!
Butcher Block Market in Brighton also has the best hamburger meat around!!

What’s something we’d be surprised to know about you?  I love going to all types of concerts… rock, country, whatever! I am a bit of a groupie!

What do you enjoy most about working in real estate?  The opportunity to be out in the community helping people!!

Bagels and Bikes and Business…Oh My!

Have you heard of Bagel Bike?  Bagel Bike is a new, locally owned small business and is the brainchild of Brooke Fossey.  Brooke bakes the bagels herself and then delivers them throughout the village of Pittsford in her signature red bike.  We knew we had to try these bagels and meet the woman behind this delicious endeavor.

As agents, we are always looking to make new connections and get to know our communities.  We hired Bagel Bike to come to REMAX!

In the spirit of making connections, we hosted a carb-filled networking breakfast in our office.  We ate delicious homemade bagels, sipped hot coffee and discussed local market trends.  It’s always a good idea to connect with other Realtors in the office but it’s an even better idea to do it with food!

Thanks, Brooke, for peddling by!  Add Bagel Bike to the list of gems in our community!

    Cheers,

    Amy
